Objects, Properly Identified

What is the most important part of any museum? The objects. We have none.

Why do institutions collect objects at all? To funnel people into a gift shop. The Strangely Normal Museum has skipped the middle part and started where every good museum ends.

The label maker is working overtime. Every item in the gift shop has been catalogued with the same care the Museum applies to everything that passes through its doors. Whether this information was necessary is not the Museum’s concern. Accuracy is.

The exit is through the gift shop. You are already here.
